wage war - as the subhuman Immunes advance . . .
and the Klingon legions hover overhead!

Ship's Log, Lieutenant Commander

The Situation on board the Enterprise is now critical.
That strange 'disease' accidently brought back
from Perry's Planet by the landing party has made it
impossible for any of us to even consider committing
an act of violence: as long as the Klingons continue
their sporadic firing, we are helpless. Unable to leave
orbit or use the transporter and still maintain our
shields at the necessary level. For now, we can only
assume a defensive posture - and before too long,
the ship's failing dilithium crystals will prevent even
that. Because we've been unable to contact Captain
Kirk or the rest of the landing party for several hours,
I've held off taking any action, but we are running out
of options.

TREKKIEGUY'S REVIEW

The Klingons feature prominently in a lot of the
early Bantam novels, which is good because they
made good enemies in the early days of Trek.

I like the Klingons of classic Trek better than
the Klingons of modern Trek. You could
count on them to be really bad dudes, which
made for great story telling.

This story is ok. Nothing great, but ok.
