TREKKIEGUY'S REVIEW

There are 7 novels in this series, each with a semi-unique story.
They all involve the Gateway but each deals
with different characters in the Star Trek universe.
Since only books 1,2 and 7 deal with original series characters,
these are the only books reviewed here.

Finally, book 7 gets released in paperback.
I refused to buy it when it was first published because
it was published in hardcover. Just my way of protesting.

Anyway, I was anxious to find out what happened
to Jim Kirk after he went through the Gateway but I was
very disappointed in the conclusion to this story.
The writing seemed poorer somehow, less polished, and
most of the story involved Kirk and Luz as they
hide from other Petraw by endlessly crawling through
a maze of tunnels and then without much fanfare,
the story is over and Kirk is back home!

Very anticlimactic.
Maybe it was just too long since I'd read the first novel.
